In a sense buy-to-let has demystified property investing and has made it a realistic possibility for many ordinary people. However, even a “cheap” buy-to-let property is a major investment and care needs to be taken in finding the right properties.
Because of a booming property market, many people have done well through buy-to-let, even if they have bought with no clear plan or strategy. Inevitably, they can only get away with this for so long. In my opinion, anyone can buy a property, but not everyone buys the property that is right for them.
With the right strategy and with the right plan, buy-to-let investors should prosper, particularly if, as seems likely, we have entered a new economic climate of prolonged “relatively” low interest rates.
